2014 Sport Nova Scotia – Ricoh Sport Makes a Difference Award

We were nominated by Triathlon Nova Scotia for the 2014 award.  We offer 5 multisport events per year.  winter triathlon (ski, snowshoe, run), indoor splash and dash, outdoor splash and dash, offroad duathlon, outdoor splash and dash and a kids triathlon.  We are and we do multisport.

This was a humbling experience and we were both pleased and also inspired to be in the company of such excellence (from coaching, to organizing to performing) thank you for supporting us, that includes, our municipal support from the Town of Truro Parks and Rec, The County of Colchester and Bible Hill Recreation, our tireless volunteers, our participants, local media such as Big Dog and The Truro Daily News who have covered many of our events over the years and local businesses.




2014 Community Group Volunteer Award 

gotruro accepted the 2014 Community Group Volunteer Award on April 15th from Left to right, Town of Truro Mayor Bill Mills, Larry Anthony, Teri-Lynn Perkins Masters, Jody Mattie, Troy Bond, Farida Gabbani, Municipality of Colchester Mayor Bob Taylor. Thank you to those who nominated us. We aren’t here for awards but we will use the exposure to help further our cause, which is providing, local, low cost, family fitness opportunities for our community. Now back to work on providing a busy summer schedule with a variety of running and multisport events.
